LINENS
Let's Talk Linens

Towels
Towels are another sneaky source of bacteria that most people don’t think twice about. Between the moisture, warmth, and constant contact with your skin, towels create the perfect environment for microbes to thrive. You've basically got a petri dish hanging on your towel rack. That’s why reusing the same towel over and over (especially on your face) is a hard no from me. I use a fresh washcloth every single time I wash my face—twice a day, every day. I keep a rotation of 14 so I can just toss them all in the laundry at the end of the week. For an even cleaner option, I used to swear by Clean Skin Club’s disposable towels—they’re super gentle and insanely effective. But between the price and the environmental guilt, I couldn’t justify using them long-term. If you’re new to the towel game, they’re a solid short-term option worth trying.
Pillowcases
Your pillowcase might be sabotaging your skin while you sleep. Throughout the night, it collects oil, sweat, dead skin cells, and hair products. And then your face touches that 8+ hours straight! If you're not changing it regularly, you're pressing your clean face into yesterday’s grime (ew). That buildup can clog pores and trigger breakouts, especially around your cheeks and jawline. I personally switch mine out every single night. Yep, I own a stack of seven and toss them all in the wash once a week. It’s a low-effort habit, one you probably never thought of, that makes a huge difference!
